INTRODUCING: the gender fluid edit...

mira pickett personal stylist/shopper/closets

mira believes that what looks good (and makes you feel good) will always be in style.

mira pickett, technology executive turned small business owner, opened mira mira in 2011 as a neighborhood clothing boutique featuring hard-to-find independent designers from around the world. at that time, most of these lines were not yet sold in san francisco. influenced by international street style blogs, mira curated collections of trend-oriented designs. more than a boutique, mira mira was a community of like-minded women looking for personal touch and styling with an emphasis on lush fabrics and subtle details that are often lost in an online environment. the shop has won numerous style awards including best boutique for nylon magazine, sf magazine and time out. bringing community together and supporting women has always been at the core of mira mira. mira hosted a wide array of ladies nights, from braiding parties and nail art events to spearheading activism meetups, political and social discussions and coordination of massive donation campaigns. mira also curated an on-going popup with mercy vintage from oakland, illustrating how new and vintage clothing can be mixed seamlessly in an everyday wardrobe, promoting sustainability and closet consciousness. in 2019, mira launched the edit, a new kind of personal styling and closet editing business with an emphasis on sustainability and strategic shopping, aiming to bring the same mira mira shopgirl that you know and love to the comfort of your own home.  in december 2018, mira mira (the boutique) closed its doors as mira transitioned her focus full-time to personal styling, conscious shopping and closet curation.
